Of these, Isaiah’s first choice is also my favorite: Although the other majestic titles have their place, wonderful doesn’t focus on Jesus’ wisdom (Counselor), power (Mighty God), or nobility (Prince). This is a Hebraic expression of humanity and divinity. So don’t turn over to Matthew 24 and Luke 21 and say, “I read that and there’s nothing in there about a Rapture, so one is not going to take place.”. Now notice the 32nd verse: “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.” Hallelujah! 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Just have patience with them.
